Spiritual Overview

Revered as Chota Kailash, Adi Kailash (6,191m) in the Vyas Valley of Uttarakhand represents the Indian spiritual counterpart to Mount Kailash. Pilgrims have walked these remote routes for millennia, bathing in the quiet waters of Parvati Sarovar which reflects the pyramid peak above.

Nearby, standing right on the border, Om Parvat (5,945m) reveals a miraculous, self-manifested Sanskrit symbol "OM" (ॐ) eternally formed by snow patterns on its dark rocky face. It is considered a direct divine blessing just to lay eyes upon it.

Our rider-led border guides assist with all permits and 4x4 operations in Vyas Valley.

📋 Inner Line Permit Requirements

Because Vyas Valley sits close to international borders, Indian citizens require Inner Line Permits issued at Pithoragarh/Dharchula. SereneTrails manages the entire application and document submission process on your behalf. You will need to provide: Aadhaar Card/Passport, Medical Fitness Certificate (issued by a registered doctor), and a Police Clearance Certificate.

☀️ Best Time to Visit

The yatra operates from mid-May to June (pre-monsoon summer) and September to October (post-monsoon autumn, offering crystal clear sky visibility of the snow OM on Om Parvat). Travel is avoided during peak monsoon (July & August) due to landslide risks in mountain valleys.
