A swift, life-transforming 10-day helicopter pilgrimage to the spiritual heart of the universe — the home of Lord Shiva.
Mount Kailash (6,638m) is considered the spiritual center of the universe. For pilgrims seeking a shorter yet profound passage, this helicopter yatra provides swift transitions from Kathmandu via Nepalgunj and the remote Himalayan airstrip of Simikot to Hilsa border town. This option minimizes long days on rugged roads, leaving your energy focused on the sacred Parikrama trek.
Our rider-led crew coordinates ground arrangements, oxygen kits, and local guides, ensuring your safety at extreme altitudes.
Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet our representatives and transfer to the hotel. Settle in and attend our evening group orientation and permit briefing.
Explore Pashupatinath Temple and other sacred sites. Catch an evening flight to Nepalgunj (1-hour flight).
Fly early morning to Simikot airstrip. Transfer immediately to helicopter for a scenic flight over deep Karnali River gorges to Hilsa border village.
Walk to the border post, cross the bridge into Tibet, and meet our luxury A/C coach. Drive 30 minutes to Taklakot.
A mandatory rest day. Settle in, drink plenty of water, and take light walks around town to let your body adjust to the altitude.
Drive to the turquoise expanse of Lake Mansarovar. Take a holy dip, perform rituals, and stay in basic homestays by the lake.
Perform morning prayers on the shore. Drive 40 km to Darchen, the base camp at the foot of Mount Kailash.
Drive to Yama Dwar (Tarboche). Begin the trek alongside the Lha-Chu river. Trek 12 km to Derapuk to witness the Golden North Face.
The core challenge. Climb to the pass (5,600m), cross Gauri Kunda, and descend 22 km to Zuthulpuk.
End the Parikrama, drive back to the border, and take return helicopter/flights back to Nepalgunj or Kathmandu, concluding your yatra.
